Thanks for the input from google but it looks bad for me. It looks like
the code for the driver hasn't been touched since 2003 or earlier. I
don't think AMD64 CPUs were used much back then if they had been

I haven't got a camera and havent set up 64bit linux at all so I can't
help you there. Sorry.
However, I did notice that at the very top of the driver page there was
comment saying that this page was very old and there was a newer one at
somewhere else. But for some reason the page doesn't want to load at the
moment. Did you follow it to the newer version first? Have you tried
explicitly googling for 64bit drivers? Use of quotes and "+" help to
build a better search...
