I hopped that you are watching the list.
Of course, as always in the subject of locale you are right. :-D
After having changed it into pl_PL.ISO-8859-2 everything looks perfect
(after several minutes - may be I will have some questions later).
If I had followed the LFS book I wouldn't have any problems with KDE.
I must have read somewhere (some documents) about this alternative
(pl_PL.iso88592), but now I can't remember where.
By the way, I know that this is off topic for the BLFS list, but
this is a little wider subject about encodings and locales.
Before KDE I was trying icewm and xfe as the file manager.
That made me digging in sources of fox-toolkit, which seems to be quite
reasonable gui-toolkit, but it ignores locale and assumes that everyone
is (or will be in the nearest future) using utf8.
Do you think that it is worth mending the toolkit to make it honor
locale or just select another gui-toolkit for my projects?
I am looking for a portable gui-toolkit, which should be translatable
into several languages.
