The base LFS system is missing a lot of things that you might find essential. The trick is to build some things from the BLFS book before you boot up. For me, the essentials are a dhcp client, wget, a text browser and gpm. http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/stable/connect/dhcp.html http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/stable/basicnet/wget.html http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/stable/basicnet/lynx.html http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/stable/general/sysutils.html#gpm You'll probably find some other things you want to add. The base LFS system is pretty basic. -- Dan -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
