Hi, about automount you need dbus-qt bindings compatible with the dbus-qt libs/API used in kde-3.5.6. Find a package dbus-qt3-0.70.tar.bz2 For example: http://slackware.osuosl.org/slackware-current/source/l/dbus-qt3/dbus-qt3-0.70.tar.bz2 then compile it with: --enable-qt3 --with-qt3-moc=${QTDIR}/bin/moc Add the users/group you want to automount to your /etc/dbus-1/system.d/hal.conf. This works for me on a system with: hal 0.5.8.1 dbus 1.0.2 kde 3.5.6 A.
