I believe the WRG series is wireless as I can only speak for the wired
versions (DSL-Broadband/8 port switch BEFSR81). I have one Linux box , a
M$ Win2K box and a HP ntwk inkjet on the switch. No problem with any of
them. I do use static addressing even though it does have DHCP
abilities. My only problem is that yes there are a couple of features in
the interface that don't work with Linux, such as downloading log files
onto the Linux PC. I am sure that there is a way, maybe someone who is a
true hacker could tell me how. You can view the logs ok on the router
just can't download to archive. You may want to make sure that your
desktop is configured either with static IP using same IP net and mask
as others on the home network or if it is set for DHCP, make sure the
router DHCP Server is enabled and configured.
