That doesn't say too much. Could you try running gdm with debugging? Try adding the following to /etc/gnome/2.18.3/gdm/custom.conf (the [debug] group may already exist):
[debug] Enable=true Done that. Then run gdm (as root) and don't let it fork: gdm -nodaemon Sorry, I don't know what fork means in this context. So don't know how to stop it. Whatever I try I cannot get any output having added the debug arguments. Nothing is printed to STDOUT or file. Gena You'll probably want to save the output from that command. -- Dan -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page __________ NOD32 2483 (20070824) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
