I   created a synlink   /usr/include/boost  to /usr/include/boost-1_37/boost 
and it seems to have done the trick.

ps  what I  now find  is that in kdelibs compile I get the following:-

+Soprano 2.1.0  or higher    (I have just installed soprano fron kdesupport 
SVN)
+GSSAPI  (I have  kerberos-1.6  installed)
+Hspell  (dont have this)
+OpenExr  (I have OpenExr  (as found above) installed)

suggestion   on what to put before or after cmake to   enable  'seeing'  of 
these   programs will be appreciated.
