Sorry for my previous top post, doing reply to my self message causes this. Ok, worked with -retro flag but just with vesa driver and not with the vmware one. Anyway I'm gone a little bit beyond, I get an error building kdebase. I'v installed imake that was missing but I still get: checking X paths... failed configure: error: /usr/bin/xmkmf (imake) failed. Make sure you have all necessary X development packages installed. On some systems a missing /lib/cpp symlink is at fault.
I have a link from /usr/bin/cpp to /lib/cpp. Thanks a lot for your help. 2009/11/20 Bruce Dubbs <bruce.du...@gmail.com> > Simone Dalmasso wrote: > > Thanks lux-integ, unfortunately my Xorg stops before creating the > > xorg.conf.new.
