Sorry for my previous top post, doing reply to my self message causes this.
Ok, worked with -retro flag but just with vesa driver and not with the
vmware one.
Anyway I'm gone a little bit beyond, I get an error building kdebase. I'v
installed imake that was missing but I still get:
checking X paths... failed
configure: error: /usr/bin/xmkmf (imake) failed.
Make sure you have all necessary X development packages installed.
On some systems a missing /lib/cpp symlink is at fault.

I have a link from /usr/bin/cpp to /lib/cpp.
