I just finished building Apache-2.2.15 from the blfs-dev
book on LFS-6.6. Went on to install Subversion-1.6.9 and
configure failed saying that subverion needed sqlite to
build, which I don't have installed.

I was perplexed by this as I had built subversion not long
ago and there was no such dependency. Looking at the
changelog I saw that subversion had been updated but the
instructions list sqlite as an option rather than a
dependency.

Backing up to the Apache instructions I read under Apache
dependencies:

Optional (Only if Using the Bundled APR-util)

   OpenSSL-0.9.8n, expat-2.0.1, Berkeley DB-4.8.26,
unixODBC-2.2.12, PostgreSQL-8.3.10, and SQLite-3.6.23

I assume this to mean that if use the bundled versions that
we don't need these packages.

Since I only want to do svn checkouts , I installed an older
version.
