Further to William Immendorf's post last June, I've tried to compile libtirpc but it also fails, with: auth_time.c:46:24: fatal error: rpcsvc/nis.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated. make[2]: *** [libtirpc_la-auth_time.lo] Error 1
Therefore, at present, there seems no way to compile Linux-Pam with glibc-2.14. This means that it's also not possible to include the PolicyKit and polkit routines in a gnome build, especially polkit-gnome which is a recommendation for gnome-session in the blfs dev book. It would be useful if the blfs dev book had a warning about this issue. AFAIK there is no published time frame for the libtirpc team to fix the compile problem. Does anyone know of a patch that will enable libtirpc to compile? I could only find a patch fromthe src rpm in fedora 15 - which I haven't tried to play with yet. jb. -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
