LFS-7.2 specifically says to use udev-lfs-188-3.tar.bz2. Why did you use a different file? We really need the specific error to be able to help. -- Bruce I was installing udev-lfs-188 from BLFS and it doesn't say which tarball to use so I didn't see the LFS 7.2 direction.
