I don't use mc, so I've no idea which characters it uses for the drawing, and I haven't used the traditional xorg fonts for years (I'm all TTF and OTF), but I do recall that installing _all_ of the traditional fonts appeared to cover everything. Possibly there are now one or two newer characters which haven't made it into the traditional fonts, such as the new turkish Lire symbol (new this year, added to unicode-6.2) but those aren't your problem. If you are using TTF/OTF fonts, DejaVu and FreeFont now cover just about everything in the modern languages (except CJK). Not sure if xterm can use them - I use rxvt-unicode and it does need a little bit of setting up in .Xresources. ĸen (currently analysing TTF/OTF font coverage, to reduce the number I install). -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, das andere Mal als Farce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
