That keyboard is an ordinary British keyboard, shared between most
of my desktop machines via a KVM switch. And just to be clear: when
I first used xfce I had to configure something, and ISTR the same
when I used gnome-terminal in the past. And in february when I
tried kde under qemu there was some configuration required, but it
seemed different from, and much easier than, the current version -
it was so straightforward that I did not make any notes.

Normally, I use urxvt and that just works - but I thought I would try
kde here.

For xorg, I normally use my gb,deader variant (normal gb but with
additional dead keys for diacriticals) - I haven't actually checked
if kde sees my additions, for that box it does not matter very much.

Sometimes she went to bed as early as 6 a.m.
