Moved to Support, from Book. See also
http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/6479, because problem
started in version 2.1.3, and was possibly a deffect. For building
problems the list is this one.
I think that you wil probably succeed now, see further below.

Sorry for the delay. After you told the LFS versions, I decided to
investigate in older systems I hav. But they are in virtual machines,
and they stopped to work in my system, recently, so I needed to backup
them (took more than 4h40m) and run in another host.
Instructions changed, see svn page or ticket "#6492 gnupg-2.1.4":
http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/6492
Do not use --disable-dirmngr: according to devs, "all network access
including DNS has been moved to Dirmngr".
Also in the announcement: "allow building without LDAP support", thus no
extra switch to build without ldap.
My test in LFS7.7 was not conclusive, because I do have openldap
installed. However in VMLFS7.1, I could test that no extra switch is
necessary, if you do not have openldap.
Test results there were identical to LFS7.7 ones.
Package worked very well. Be sure to have all required dependencies and
do *not* set GNUPGHOME.
