Compiling Emacs-24.5 using the ./configure documentation returns the following:
configure: error: The following required libraries were not found:
libgif/libungif
Maybe some development libraries/packages are missing?
If you don't want to link with them give
--with-gif=no
as options to configure
As giflib and gifunlib are optional, should "--with-gif=no" be in the
./configure documentation? A question, not a statement.
