OK Bruce, I am in WAY over my head here. I have never loaded firmware in
a linux kernel before. (Which by the way makes me think I don't really
NEED it his time.) I went to the linuxfromscratch firmware page and
downloaded everything that looked like it might apply to me and put it
all in the /lib/firmware directory. Then I added all the file names to
the CONFIG_EXTRA_FIRMWARE line in the kernel .config file and tried a
make. I got the following errors:
MK_FW firmware/R300_cp.bin.gen.S
make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'firmware/R300_cp.bin', needed by
'firmware/R300_cp.bin.gen.o'. Stop.
Makefile:949: recipe for target 'firmware' failed
make: *** [firmware] Error 2
What am I missing??? The ".gen.S" from the error above is not part of
the file name.
