It's a question for people who are using wayland - I think that of the packages in the book, only gnome uses wayland (certainly when I last looked the kde plasma package was pointed to the xorg version by a sed). I think that Xwayland provides compatability for running Xorg apps under wayland. I don't think we've got anything in the book, apart from gdm/mutter, which invokes wayland. ĸen -- On average, the Panda feeds for 15 hours a day.
