Does this apply to scanned documents as well? For example, I scan a letter into my computer, then email it as an attachment to you. How easy is it to be read? What Marilyn has suggested about needing to use the Kurzweil Virtual Printer to read a particular PDF file leads right into what I'm going to suggest here. It's possible that the PDF file you are having trouble with is a photocopy document loaded into a PDF.
