Hi George,
>From the control panel, select administrative tools.
Once there, select services, and then look for the entry for fax, and you can
set this service to
disabled.
If you need more help with it, let me know.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] WindowsXP fax program

Hi:
Since installing DSL on this XP computer every time my phone rings the fax
program that is a part of XP (IN Accessories, communications, fax) tries to
pickup the call as a incomming fax. I don't need this program, as I have two
other fax programs (MightyFax & the Fax program in K1000 version 11). Does
anyone know how to disable it? I have looked inthe "startup manager" and the
add remove programs, in the control section and can't find it. It is not
listed as "fax" or "msfax".
Thanks,
George R. Marshall
