It comes with a printed manual that contains a lot of diagrams. I gave up scanning it. I had my husband set the time and read the directions on how to record, play, and erase recordings. I keep telling myself that I'm going to see if I can find an electric version of the manual on line, but just haven't gotten around to it. This is why I haven't learned to interface it with the computer, or use the indexing feature.
