Are you using XP? I am not sure if the following is the same for Vista. Its possible that you have a corrupted print job in your printer queue.
You could try going to start, settings, printers and faxes. Navigate to your printer in the list that appears. Press enter on your printer and make sure that no jobs are outstanding in the print queue by tabbing down to the window with the list of print jobs.
