Kathy I'm not sure I understand your question but here goes. AMD is a processor manufacturer and Dual-core means that two processors are contained on a single chip. Many computers today, if not most, will contain dual-core processors. Having two CPU's (processors) in one package gives a real performance boost. The two main processor manufacturers are Intel and AMD with Intel being the dominant manufacturer.
Amd usually gives a better price/performance ratio but that depends on your point of view. I've being using AMD processors for over eight years and found them to be highly reliable. Currently I am running a AMD dual-core processor and it has been fast, reliable, and cool. But having said that, I don't think you would go wrong with either make. Hope this helps, Russ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kathy Pingstock" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 14, 2008 5:19 PM Subject: [Blind-Computing] amd and dual core processors > Is there a difference between these processors?
