There is a neat little free program called, Timy PDF. It's available at: http://www.tinypdf.com/ Just run the executable file and it sets up as a printer. When you are ready to convert your Doc file to PDF, just do a control p to print and then select Tiny PDF. It will open a save as as dialogue and the file name will be the same as your document with the extension of PDF. Once you save it, it will open in Adobe so you can read it. You can just close that PDF document and the PDF file will be located in the folder you saved it in. The above link will take you to the Tiny PDF page where you can read about Tiny PDF.
