jason, if you have yahoo messenger installed and that goes for any regular messenger, think of it as more like instant emailing. In other words if you only allow people you give your yahoo alias to or the ones that you add, then those and those only will be the ones that will show in your contacs. nobody else will be able to see you are online or be able to contact you. everytime you do talk or write to a buddy in your contact list, it is like a private chat, like emai only instant messaging going back and forth between two parties. more parties of you wishto include another member in your list. but with the right settings you are in full control all the time who can see you or talk to you. have a great weekend! chrissy
