Hi, you may want to try another DVD to make sure the one you have is not bad
or damaged. Since it is stopping in the middle of the disk, it sounds
damaged or dirty. Take warm water and hand soap to wash the disk. Dry well
and try again.

What DVD is it?

That being said here are a few options.

1) Try the AnyDVD, DVD43 or DVD Decryptor programs to get by the
copy-protection.
2) Try DVD Shrink to "re-author" the DVD. This program will allow the
selection of specific video and sound tracks to be saved to your drive. Not
sure on the accessible part. For example, you can select the main movie and
the french sound track or the commentary track.

All that being said, you'll have to search for the applications. Can't give
links to them since I'm in the US and DMCA prevents it. Some legal issues
there prevent fair-use. I hear there is a great search site out there,
something like Moogle, Boogle, Foogle, Yoogle, Woogle or such.

Good Luck!

Thanks,
Hi-Tech Tarheel
