Alex

If the link Patricia sent you was for a product she purchased with only a
single license it won't work as she has probably used the license. I just
purchase 7.5 with three installs and did the first one this morning. They
sent me a link as well and the license # appeared automatically as it did
with you. It went fine.

thanks
Al

Subject: [Blind-Computing] My ABG 7.5 hell, and hwy I love system
restore

This afternoon I decided to uninstall AVG 8, and install the version of AVG
7.5 that Patricia gave the link for.
The uninstall of 8 went fine, and the install of 7.5 seemed to go ok. During
the install, I was asked for my registration code and name, but these fields
seemed to be filled in correctly.
However, after the install and the reboot the fun started. First of all AVG
and the firewall went through the wizards they do when you first install
them. This all seemed to work.
Then ABG told me my license code was incorrect, and that I could reenter it
if I wanted. I did this, and it was still incorrect. I then hit help to see
if that would tell me anything, and found myself in the AVG 8 help system. I
wasn't too happy with this. I think I'll have to call support on Monday.
Having given up on ABG I then discovered that at some point in the install
it had changed my dialup settings for connecting to the internet, and I
couldn't connect. At this point I was really p***ed off, so had to resort to
system restore. Which last time I tried to use it back in the 1950's I think
(or maybe 2004) didn't used to be accessible with jaws, but it now is, and
it saved my life!
Sorry for the 25 page rant!
Cheers
Alex
