Hi all, My tech is supposed to come back with a new battery for my UPS and to finish dismantling my LAN. He took away the '98 machine and, now, only the XP computer is left.
It's more than 3 years old and, after my tech left, I starting thinking that since he has to return and it's just the one machine, that maybe it would be a good idea for him to replace the battery on the XP. Are there any guidelines about the life of an XP battery? I guess it probably depends on how much the machine is used, defragged, etc. About how much does a new XP battery cost? Does one size fit all? The machine is a tower type and was custom built. If one size doesn't fit all, is there any way of determining what kind of battery to get except "getting under the hood?"
