Hi all,

My tech is supposed to come back with a new battery for my UPS and to
finish dismantling my LAN. He took away the '98 machine and, now, only the
XP computer is left.

It's more than 3 years old and, after my tech left, I starting thinking
that since he has to return and it's just the one machine, that maybe it
would be a good idea for him to replace the battery on the XP.

Are there any guidelines about the life of an XP battery? I guess it
probably depends on how much the machine is used, defragged, etc. About how
much does a new XP battery cost? Does one size fit all? The machine is a
tower type and was custom built. If one size doesn't fit all, is there any
way of determining what kind of battery to get except "getting under the
hood?"

    Thanks,

Margaret
