The effect can be turned off through the tools>Web Visum menu. There are 
configurations you would need to make for ctrl+f in Firefox to work, but if 
you don't feel like it, fine, insert+ctrl+f works. ANd yes, Firefox does 
load the pages faster for me, and yes, Jaws doesn't crash when it comes to 
virtualising long pages, and yes, it is more secure, and the main reason is, 
of course, the fact that it's open-source. Open-source programs have the 
benifit of being edited by a lot of users that do know what they are doing. 
When a company is doing something commertially, like Microsoft, it's 
software wouldn't be open-source, and thus, not up-to-date if they don't 
feel like adding things to it. All and all, Firefox is not even compareable 
with Internet Explorer. With Opera, perhaps, but not IE.
