I have an Acer laptop and recently we had that removed on it and all works great. I don't know if this model here uses the symnoptic mouse? If so, there are steps to turn it off so it doesn't interefer with one pressing one's hands on the laptop. I think best to my memory here, you click on it through the system tray and tab to where it says to enable/disable it was either a checkbox or not, but it's easy to disable it. I'm currently on my desktop or I would tell you for sure..
