Mine doesn't do it either, but the home key should take you to the top of
any list, including that folder tree structure, where you can then again use
first letter navigation to move down.

I cannot use first letter navigation in my in/box from the bottom of the
page to the top of the page. First letter navigation works when I go from
the top down but not the other way around. Can anyone help me fix this
