Having managed to uninstall the beta of windows live messenger 9 with the
following command:
msiexec /x {0AAA9C97-74D4-47CE-B089-0B147EF3553C}
I then tried to reinstall windows live messenger 8.5. However when I click
the install button, after a few seconds I receive the following fatal error
message:
Windows Live Installer
There was a problem with this installation. Windows Live Suite was not
installed.graphic 722 System error details
Code: 0x8000ffff
Description: Catastrophic failure
OK
Googling the error message has not helped at all, does anyone know what the
problem might be? I would very much like to get this sorted, but really
don't know how.
