windowsfirewall
Hi. I do have the free version of AVG but from what I understand, it
doesn't have its own firewall like the paid version does. Would I still
need the windows firewall on if I'm running AVG?
Thanks.

hmmm: I forgot to tell you after choosing always hide to tab till you
reach
ok button, press it. then tab to reach another ok button press it too.
p.s if you have an anti virus I think it's not necessary to have windows
firewall turned on.
I hope if I'm wrong to be corrected.
many thanks...

hi rosemarie, I think it is very easy to deal with this message.
1. press windows+m to reach the desktop.
2. tab once to reach start button.
3. press alt+enter to open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties then press
shift+tab till you hear
Notification area customize.
4. press spacebar. here you'll find many titles for the screens you can
have in your notification area.
5. choose the one named windows security alerts. and by pressing right
erro you can adjust the behaviour of its appearance in your windows. so
down erro and choos always hide.
that's it

Subject: [Blind-Computing] getting an error message about windows
firewall
Hi, everyone. When I boot up the computer, things start out ok but
then
I get this message saying "your computer might be at risk. No firewall
is turned on". How do I get rid of that message? I went to the
control
panel and the windows firewall is turned on. Any help would be very
much
appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
Rosemarie
