If I go that route, do I need to buy extra speakers, orr does the USB sounddcard also have a headphone jack on it where I can plug in a pair of earbuds to listen to JAWS? Also, about what am I looking at as far as cost? A friend was tryingg to convince me to buy a $800 USB synthesizer for which she's a distributor; I'd like to avoid spending that kind of cash. :) I assume the USB sound card is something I can just pick up at Best Buy orr any other electronics/computer supply store.

I have a Turtle Beech USB sound device and I can instruct JAWS to issue through that device rather than the native sound card. Then I can listen to on-line radio etc. and have my JAWS speech channeled through the Turtle Beech sound card seamlessly. ---*---*---*---*---*--- Holland's Person, Bill E-Mail: billgal...@centurytel.net A hole has been found in the nudist camp wall. As I've posted before, I just got a new laptop. Naturally, no one uses serial ports anymore, so this doesn't have any. However, I have a perfectly good DECTalk Express. What I'm wondering is: 1. Is there an adapter I can get to plug into my USB port to be able to use my DEC-Talk? and if so, will Windows Vista recognize it? 2. If not, what's a good, decently priced external synthesizer? I want to be able to use the speakers/sound card for playing audio, and when i listen to audio, it tends to drown JAWS out when they're sharing speakers. Thanks.
