never ever install stuff that just pops out while internet surfing. best way
to infect your pc with all kinds of malware and trojans.
when looking for software, even known software with whose name you might be
familar with, always go to the proper webpage from that company.
there are enough malware sites out there that disguise themselves as legit
sites just by for example using a program name similar to known proper
software, to try and trick users into downloading stuff to their computers.

Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] finally fast.com
I just checked out this site myself and tried one of the "free" scans.
Scams with an "m" is more like it. When I clicked on the link to scan the
speed of my Internet connection, I got a pop-up menu to install a program
called Active Speed. So I went ahead and installed it only to discover
that this program was only "free" for the first 30 days, after which it
would cost $29.99 per year. This seemed fishy to me, so I immediately
uninstalled it. I found a couple of reviews that claim that Ascentive
Software, the company behind the Finally Fast.com web site uses deceptive
practices to get you to part with your cash. Nowhere on the Finally
Fast.com site is the cost of Active Speed or any other program mentioned.
A few reviewers claimed that their computers actually ran slower after
they installed this so-called optimization program. So my advice is to
avoid this site like the plague.
