Try control+alt+insert while in the vm. it's supposed to be the vmware equal
to ctrl+alt+delete and it wont bring up your task manager. Thing I have
noticed though, sometimes the linux does not react to this, not sure why
though. As far as when I want to pass keyboard over to the vm and back to
windows, this is how I do it. When I boot the vm with the ctrl+e key, I
believe it is, I can sort of see that it's starting to boot so I press
either ctrl+g to give the keys to the vm or if I want it in full screen I
press ctrl+alt+enter and it makes it full screen along with passing the keys
over at the same time. When I want to go back to windows, and it's in full
screen at least, you can push ctrl+alt and it will jump out of the full
screen but sometimes will not fix the keys, so, you can press either
ctrl+alt again in hopes it may fix it the second time, or try to do a jaws
command like pc curcer to see if jaws is reacting to the windows key
presses. One odd thing I have had happen wich I can also not explain is
sometimes when windows gets control of the keys, some of the keys work fine
and others do not. Not sure if any of this is any help but it's what I have
figured out so far.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Another note relating to keyboard control
withinthe VMWare player for testing/trying out vinux
Although I tried things like jaws key + number row 3 to pass Ctrl + G to
the VMWare player without jaws catching it, that didn't really work too
well, since it seemed to stop jaws etc. from getting real control of the
keyboard back after exiting VMWare, but one thing I have found is that
instead of hitting Ctrl + Alt + delete to shutdown vinux, which seemed to
also bring up windows task manager, but without really passing keyboard
command back to windows, if you use left Alt + F1 to bring up the gnome
menu, but then right arrow on a menu item - not a submenu item, there are
two other menu structures, one for places, and one called system, which
has items for things like networking, hardware etc., and also one for
shutdown, and this then brings up a dialogue telling you it'll shut down
in around 60 seconds, so you can then hit Ctrl + Alt to get keyboard
control back to windows, but you then still have to hit Ctrl and Alt a few
times to unlock them as far as windows and jaws are concerned, but it's
better.
Stay well
