Standardly, they mostly seem to be winzip self extractors, and they all seem 
to default to something like C:\program files\kitchensinc.

However I generally just add another folder below that for the name of the 
game, hence, something like:
C:\Program Files\kitchensinc\wincasino

Then you unzip the contents to there, browse to the folder using windows 
explorer and look for the executable/application to run the game - different 
file names all the time.

Anyway, in windows explor3er, I use the context menu, right click key, go 
down to send to, open that submenu using the right arrow key, and hit enter 
on desktop (create shortcut), and then on the desktop, I copy the new 
shortcut into a folder on the desktop called games, and generally rename the 
shortcuts as well.
