Hi, My friend recently purchased a laptop running Vista home premium.
He installed the latest version of Firefox, and when he tries to open
it, it won't run. However, it shows up in the task manager as a
running process. When it was installed, it did not create an icon on
the desktop like it normally should have during install, so he has to
access it through the start menu, and when he did try to create a
shortcut to it, it said windown could not locate the shortcut. I tried
going into the firewall and adding it to the list of allowed programs,
since it wasn't there, but still no go. The laptop is 64 bit, but as
far as I could tell, there wasn't a separate version of Firefox for 64
bit machines. He also has UAC and error reporting disabled, although I
doubt this has anything to do with the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
