Hi Al,
Thanks for letting me know about OmniPage 17. I had the opportunity
to upgrade to that version when it was offered by Nuance at a
discount, but I was afraid that Jaws would not work with it. I get
uncomfortable about spending a lot of money for a product not knowing
whether or not Jaws can use the software.
Oh well, OmniPage is doing a pretty good job for me. I guess that if
it not broken, don't fix it!

Lenny,
OmniPage 17 works the same as OmniPage 16 in terms of
accessibility. The main issue is once you scan a document
JAWS will not automatically begin reading the text as it
does in OmniPage 15. You can get it to do it by tinkering
with different cursors and some general fooling around but
it is not smooth like OmniPage 15. However, for users that
don't have OmniPage 15 purchasing 17 would be doable.

Hi Deanne,
I am using OmniPage version 15 and it is accessible with
Jaws latest
version 10. It also works with Jaws version 9.
I tried to find out if OmniPage version 17 is accessible
through the
list, but I did not get any reply.
