Hello To All; I am assisting a relatively new screen reader/computer user via the phone. He is running Vista 64 bit on a Dell laptop. What I hear while on the desktop or in any other list is the name of the list item followed by the statement "Checked" or "Not Checked." For instance, while using the arrow keys through the desktop icons, it says Recycle bin not checked; WordPerfect Checked; and so on. I have Vista myself and will search through the settings, but if anyone here knows the answer I would appreciate it. I attempted to Google this inquiry but the search terms used yielded no answer. Sure there was just about every other possible answer for problems not our own provided by Google, but no luck locating the info I sought.
