Hi I scanned a number of textbooks using readirus 11. It is a great program. When version 12 came out I bought it. Now, I should mention that I use an HP 5000 high speed duplex scanner, at 25 pages a minute. Well, any way suddenly I am unable to scan in duplex mode. I took the scanner and computer to the computer tech and he did the best he could but I was still scanning single sided pages in readirus. The computer tech mentioned that if a person used HP document import that the duplex worked. Finally I gave this a try. It worked except I can only get it to import the pages of text as image files. Then I use readirus to convert the files to JAWS friendly text. My question is why is it that readirus cannot seem to find the duplex feature on the scanner? On my computer I am using windows vista home addition and JAWS 10.
