Hello there; if your using windows xP home addition, give these steps a try.
1. Start-menu> Settings -> Control Panel 2. enter on administrative tools 3. down arrow and enter on services 4. Tab one time to the list-view 5. Scroll down and look for, messenger, or windows messenger,, until you hear/see messenger 6. Press the applications key,up arrow and enter on properties 7. tab until you hear/see, StartUpType, down arrow until you hear, disable 8. Now tab and enter on okay button Now, you may have to alt+f4 to close everything.
