Hi Patricia,
When this happens, see if you can bring up a list of running applications.
It's possible that something is open that is partially obscuring the other
windows,
causing Jaws not to have complete focus.
Have you tried unloading, and then re-loading Jaws?

I seem to have a odd thing happening when I visit some web sites, and
after
I leave them, Jaws 10 still talks, but I can't seem to do anything.
If I'm in OE for instance, after leaving a web page, Jaws might tell me a
few items in my inbox but won't let me open them.
If I go to the desktop and press something to go to another application,
Jaws will just say that letter, but not the name of the program.
To fix all this, I have to reboot.
Is this some quirk or a setting in IE, or just me?
