I forgot something, excuse me, I'm a senior and this happens frequently..
Now just switching from ATT to TX.RR and because my computer was located on
another wall far from the cable, the man put an extra long cable to make it
reach, I noticed it was slower and wondered why, since the hype of cable
verses dsl, I couldn't tell much difference.
Then, I moved the computer on the wall where the cable hooks up to, and also
took off that extra wire and bam, just like that it speeded up.
If that's not your friend's problems then, guess I'll let the experts figure
it out,grins.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Computer running slow
Hi All;
A friend's computeris running slow and freezing up. She is running XP
Home,
IE7, OE, & Jaws 9 latest. They have just moved and are using a new
provider, Comcast, I believe. Other that doing a disk clean-up, disk
defrag, and a general cleaning what other things should I look for? All
help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Take care.
Mike,
It's tax time! Remember folks, if you add, IRS to the word, the, you get
"T
