Miss Perez. I believe that you will have to uninstall the student version
before the professional software will work. What you now have is a conflict
and Windows doesn't know which version to use when opening documents. You
still have the disks for both programs. I suggest that you off-load the
student version. In fact, you may have to uninstall both of them, then
re-install the professional version.

I seem to remember that you can't have two Word programs of the same type
running on one computer, simultaneously.

Hi ,

I have installed Microsoft Word on my HP computer and I am not able to
save or open files. My computer came with trial version of Microsoft home
student and I installed the professional version. I am using Windows
Vista. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thank you very much and
hope to hear from some of you.
