First, the only dumb question is the unasked one. To answer yours though, yes, that persona really sent that message at 3:30 in the morning. Keep in mind however, that different time zones can affect what time it is. I believe it is your time, not the senders that is being refferred to. I could be wrong about that last part, but I think that's how it goes.
