It also installs right over version 6 too..

Hello Margaret. There are some differences in Explorer 8 that you will
find interesting. When you use it for the first time, you'll be asked a
lot of questions about setting it up. I still don't know the answers to
all of those check boxes. Just to be safe, I didn't allow any of those
special features to work.
In answer to your question, yes, Explorer 8 will install right over
Explorer 7. No problem at all, there. And if you don't like it, you can
uninstall the software and the system will revert right back to Explorer
7.

I'm currently running IE 7 and want to give
Internet Explorer 8 a try. I found mention on the Microsoft Help and
Support page for IE 8 indicating that favorites will be migrated from IE
7,
so am I correct that IE8 will just install over 7? I checked past posts
I'd
saved and the FAQ section for IE 8 and didn't see anything more concrete.
The OS is XP Home with SP3.
