I was over at the NFB yesterday and none other than Eric Damary gave me a
demo of the Pearl and it was nice indeed for $600 with OB 9. the Pearl is
totally portable folds down into a nice case. The reading quality was very
clear and concise.
The Pearl looks sort of like what the old goose lamps look like if you
happen to remember what those looked like, but not as fat.
I didn't see or use the other model..

Has anyone out there compared the pearl / openbook and eye-pal systems.
Both are camera based and portable solutions for reading. I would like to
