Just a personal preference.
However, you will notice that JAWS interface, even if you run it as method1
or method2, is mostly evoked for JAWS configuration. Because of this,
method1 is the best because you know that JAWS just talks as part of your
operating system, and you will only evoke it when there is need to do some
configuration with JAWS+J.
However, I am glad that you are able to enjoy method2 despite a number of
people preferring method1. I hope you will appreciate more of the benefits
of running JAWS from the system tray some time.
Cheers,
Ishe

hello ishe
thank you for that
i did hear when i had method 2 that each tab key somewhere it said jaws
but method 1 it did not
therefore am i correct in thinking that like some people on this list that
running jaws in the system tray is the best method of the 2
thank you

Both methods are similar, but method1 (system tray) only has the
advantage that you will not have JAWS in the way while working with many
programs. In other words, if you want to ALT-TAB, you will switch to
other programs other than JAWS. JAWS will be running as a service,
otherwise the functionality is the same.
