Thank you very much for making me realise hadn't looked at context menu as
of yet - means I can do various things in VLC that hadn't found easy ways to
do previously.
Only keystrokes know of off-hand are S for stop, and I think P restarts
playing, but space bar pauses/carries on playing, and this is currently in
VLC media player 0.8.6f Janus (wxWidgets interface) according to about
dialogue.

I am not sure about key strokes, but, you can use the aplications key and
get to where you need to go.
If there are any key strokes, I would like to know as well.
