[Blind-Computing] attachments as links

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to save attachments that 
are links in my messages?  I am used to them being separate attached files 
after the subject field.  But my friend sent me an attachment as a link in 
the message and I cant get it to save!  Thank you in advance, Heather
